Hi there, I’m Jenn
I have a passion for all things nutrition and wellness. I love teaching yoga and am grateful for all of my students. Nature makes me feel grounded, my favourite thing is to spend time at the beach, walking in the sand or playing in the waves. I also enjoy hiking in the mountains and underneath the trees. And I love helping others find their own healthy, happy place.
I work with busy women, just like you, struggling with hormonal imbalances and digestive troubles, create balance and experience vibrant health, naturally through food and lifestyle changes, while helping them to feel supported along the way.
I believe that what you eat matters but, so does how you talk to yourself, how you move your body and how you take care of yourself; physically, mentally and emotionally. We need all of these things aligned to create a sustainable healthy lifestyle.
I believe that creating delicious meals that support and nourish your body can be simple. I am here to help take the stress out of meal times.
I believe healthy living does not need to feel overwhelming, we just need to simplify our food and lifestyle so that we can create space to hear what our bodies are trying to telling us.
My journey to health and wellness has been just that, a journey, with many ups and downs. I started out learning about food and exercise and how it effected my body, through a course that my chiropractor put on, I learned quite a lot from that course. Then I had babies and for the first few years of their lives I was pretty much in survival mode. I suffered from post partum depression and anxiety, which at times felt quite severe. Slowly after each baby I made it out of survival mode and I came back to my healthy habits, what I knew my body needed, and I started to feel like myself again. I was so passionate about the roll nutrition and exercise played in my healing I took my yoga teacher training in 2010. Still almost every book I read was about nutrition so, in 2012 I went back to school for it. It took me 3 years to complete because I was determined to take care of myself and not burn out, the same way I hoped I could teach my clients to take care of themselves.
Then I found myself slipping back into survival mode, in spite of all I knew about health and wellness. With 2 very busy teenagers, a full time job and a husband who travels, I was finding my anxiety was getting worse, I was tired all the time, constipated, bloated, I had dizzy spells, heart palpitations and my hair was falling out…it turns out I burnt out after all. I continued to investigate my own health I used tests to find out I had HPA axis dysfunction, hormone imbalances and gut disbiosis. By working on all areas of my life including nutrition and personalized supplementation, sleep, exercise, relationships and stress reduction, I have been on the road to healing my body from the inside out. This has given me the expertise to help you achieve the same results so that you can feel fabulous in your own skin again.
I graduated from CSNN in 2015 and became a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner in 2020 to help bring you the most up to date testing and information on your healing journey. As a recovering perfectionist, I believe in progress not perfection. My life is perfectly imperfect. I love helping others learn about their bodies and reach their wellness goals by understanding how nutrition and lifestyle work together. Living a healthy lifestyle does not have to be about depriving yourself or getting rid of foods you enjoy. I believe it’s about discovering what works best for YOU and YOUR body, not the next new diet. I help you cut through all the confusion and overwhelm and help you listen to your body again. I am devoted to helping women achieve their optimal health through nutrition, lifestyle strategies to create balance, experience vibrant health and love your body. I love creating food that tastes delicious and nourishes us at the same time, using whole foods and simple practices. It’s not about being perfect, just being consistent.
